ILOILO – A 23-year-old woman complained to the police she was raped by two online chat mates in Oton town on Saturday.
Ann (not her real name) was a native of Oton but currently living in Dumangas with her husband.
According to Ann, she was in her mother’s house in Oton around 7 p.m. on Oct. 9 when her two chat mates, aged 21 and 23, fetched her. They reportedly went to the house of one of the suspects.
Two more people joined them for a drinking binge, Ann said.
If Ann were to believe, around 11 p.m., one of her chat mates brought her to a room and raped her, while the other followed soon after.
Around 1 a.m. the following day, Ann said the suspects brought her to the Oton public plaza and left her there.
Ann gave a statement to Police Corporal Josie Arrida of the Women’s and Children Protection Desk of the Oton police station.
“The victim called her former lover and they went to our station to report the incident,” Arrida said.
The suspects were eventually arrested and detained at the Oton police station.
They denied the rape.
One of them said, when Ann got drunk, they ushered her to a room so she could test.
