Actress Annabelle Rama was slapped with cyber libel case after she accused Jayke Joson and businessman Arnold Vegafria of stealing P140 million from their former boss Manny Pacquiao.
According to Joson, he went to the National Bureau of Investigation to file a case against the well-known talent manager for tarnishing his reputation.
Rama recently said that Joson and Vegafria stole P140 million from Senator and Presidential aspirant while also saying that Pacquiao shouldered P10 million – including amortization – to cover the dues and prevent Joson from leaving his house which would be foreclosed.
“(Rama’s) false claim was not surprising. She’s spreading lies publicly to destroy my credibility and defend Pacquiao from his estafa accusations and misgivings,” Joson said.
“[Rama] should be ashamed of herself for telling those lies,” he added. “In the first place, I don’t have any past issues and estafa cases from anyone just like Anabelle. All those were just absolute lies to malign my personality.”
Joson referred to Rama-Gutierrez’s alleged pending swindling and estafa court cases with case No. Q-8188-89, Q-8250,21866, 93-128840-45 (Manila RTC in 1993) and 23719.
Rama has other pending case on the violation of SPL Statutory on bouncing cheque and grave threat and public disorder in 1993, 2013 and 2016, unjust vexation and oral defamation cases pending in branch 034 in the Metropolitan Trial Court in 2012, and libel case in RTC Quezon City court in 2012.
“I wasn’t shocked by her revelations since it came from her. So it’s just like same feathers that flock together, they are both same swindler,” added Joson.
Joson and Vegafria are fighting for their reputations as they also clarified that the money they received from Pacquiao was part of their commissions from all the sponsorships.
Joson also clarified that Pacquiao had borrowed his 20 percent commission as well as Vegafria’s commission.
“The senator has a style to borrow your own commission every time you close a sponsorship deal for him that’s why he got the sponsorship 100 percent. As an agent and the one who is giving money to him, he has an obligation but he borrows even our commission most of the time,” he said.
“That was a hard earned money. In fact, the senator owns Arnold Vegafria a lot of money from these commissions until now. So Ms. Rama and other liars will be held liable.”
“That was my commission to the senator. I was paid just a year after when I encountered a problem to pay the dues and house amortization. Then, they will tell me that it was his personal help? It’s all pure lies. I worked for that money which I didn’t receive immediately,” Joson explained.
Aside from Joson, there are other parties like sports journalist Snow Badua and a painter are eyeing to file a case against Pacquiao for not honoring their respective service contracts.
Joson allegedly claimed that the 42-year-old Pacquiao turned his back on a fight contract obligation with the Paradigm Sports Management of Audie Attar early this year after getting the advance down payment worth P165 million.
Joson said he was just forced to reveal everything and defend himself after the Pacquiao camp posted malicious comments on social media against him about his present status with Pacquiao. /PN
