ILOILO – Between Oct. 18 and Oct. 24, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) collected 29 unlicensed firearms.
Of the figure, 26 were homemade guns while the rest were turned over by their owners for safekeeping.
The Carles police station topped with three recoveries; Janiuay, Calinog, Igbaras, and Lambunao police station had two each.
IPPO director, Police Colonel Gilbert Gorero enjoins gun holders to process the licenses of their guns, while those who possess homemade ones are urged to surrender them to the police./PN
