ILOILO City – Police arrested on Thursday a seafarer charged with violation of Republic Act 9262 (anti-violence against women and their children law) in Barangay Cari Minor, Leganes, Iloilo.
Hermani Alava, 43, was a resident of Jardeleza Subdivision, Barangay Poblacion, Leganes.
He was accused of not financially supporting his family, police said.
Alava was detained at the Leganes police station. A P24,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
