ILOILO City – For allegedly engaging in illegal gambling, 16 persons were arrested by policemen of La Paz district in Barangay Ticud on Saturday.
Recovered from the suspects were six game fowls and bet money amounting to P33,145, police said.
Charges for violation of the Cockfighting Law (Presidental Decree 449) would be filed against Eduardo Elloran, Josie Jutay, Ramille Gentugao, Johnny Julit, Jimmy Canaway, Jomarie Bautista, Ernesto Ardamoy, Sherwin Limen, Robert Ryan, Wilfredo Jayme, Ernie Deocampo, Rey Galipo, April Jay Espora, Gilbert Fojas, Vincent Sarino, and Mark Niel Jadulos.
They were taken to the La Paz police station around 3:15 p.m./PN
