ILOILO City – A motorcycle and a truck collided in Barangay Tacas, Jaro district on Feb. 14.
The motorcycle driver, 19-year-old Niel Aldren Socorro of Barangay Pagsanga-an Pavia, Iloilo, died.
The collision happened at around 10:30 p.m. Socorro was bound for Barangay Buhang, Jaro.
Police said Socorro, while trying to overtake a motorcycle, crashed into the truck coming from the opposite direction.
Socorro died of severe head injuries at the Western Visayas Medical Center. He was not wearing a helmet, police said.
