Citydads approve 10 additional schools in Bacolod to hold F2F classes

BACOLOD City-The members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod have approved the request of the 10 additional public schools in this city by applying to implement the conduct of face-to-face classes.

These were Apolinario Mabini Elementary School; Cabug National High School; Negros Occidental High School; Emilia J. Garcia Elementary School; Romanito Maravilla Jr. National High School; Handumanan Elementary School-1; Luis Hervias National High School; Rafael Alunan Elementary School; Teofilo M. Gensoli National High School; and Alberto D. Arceo Sr. Elementary School.

Councilor Renecito Novero, chairman of the Committee on Education said the city council has approved the resolution he authored during the regular session on March 17 by granting the request of the school principals.

“These are the schools that applied as of date for F2F. I already authored a resolution approved just minutes ago favorably endorsing the same to the EOC. As of now, the Alangilan National High School in Barangay Alangilan is the first that holds the F2F classes,” Novero explained.

He added, the Sanggunian had also endorsed the request of the school principals to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) as part of the process in applying to hold the F2F classes.

The EOC has set the guidelines for the schools here applying to implement the F2F classes in consideration of the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

The schools are allowed to hold the F2F classes, but they should be under the supervision of the EOC./PN
