PRO-6 nets P1.2-M ‘shabu’ in 3 days

ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) seized P1.2-million worth of suspected shabu in three days of operation from July 8 to 10.

Suspected shabu valued at P1,237,600 was seized – weighing182 grams combined.

The first operation happened on July 8. Elements of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RDEU-6) and Molo police station arrested suspect Gregor Bronto, 27, of Barangay North, Baluarte, Molo and Joshua Doromal, 21, of Barangay Rima Rizal, City Proper.

They were caught in Barangay North Baluarte, Molo at around 7:15 p.m.

Cops recovered P204,000 worth of suspected shabu.

On Sunday, July 10, the Bacolod City Police Office – Drug Enforcement Unit (BCPO-DEU) arrested three drug pushing suspects – Cyril Gepielago, 49; Julius Londres; and Pearly Mae Panes, 30, of Barangay Punta Taytay, Bacolod City.

Policemen seized suspected shabu worth P523,600.

Another buy-bust operation was conducted in the same day by the Bacolod City police in Barangay Granada. Suspect Mariane Gumban, 25, of Barangay Granada, Bacolod City was caught.

The police recovered P510, 000 worth of suspected shabu.

Police Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, PRO-6 director, commended all unit commanders.

“Let’s intensify our campaign and focus on the remaining individuals that still engage in the illegal drugs trade,” Dongbo said./PN
