ILOILO City – A man yielded P442,000 of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mohon, Arevalo district, at around 12:30 p.m. yesterday.
Danilo Ardonia, 39, a resident of Barangay Pakiad, Oton, Iloilo, was taken to the Arevalo police station.
He sold suspected shabu to a police poseur for P35,000, according to Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) chief Police Major Rommel Anicete.
Further recovered from Ardonia were 65 grams of suspected shabu valued at P442,000.
“We considered him a high-value drug suspect. Wala syang pangalan sa list namin, pero may asset tayo na nagbigay sa atin ng information, and we immediately conducted an operation,” Anicete said.
Anicete said the suspect allegedly sourced shabu from Barangay Bakhaw in Mandurriao district.
Ardonia is charged for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
