ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) seized 1,062.42 grams of suspected shabu valued at P7,269,452 during a weeklong law enforcement operation dubbed as “Birada Semana.”
From March 13 to 19, 77 drug suspects were also arrested in 59 operations, PRO-6 data showed.
Moreover, 248 wanted persons were arrested in 235 operations by the various police units.
In the campaign against loose firearms, 148 firearms and 21 explosives were either surrendered or recovered in 18 operations, which also led to the arrest of 18 persons.
Also, 50 operations resulted to the arrest of 158 persons and recovery of a total of P30,039 bet money in the campaign against illegal gambling.
Police Brigadier General Leo M. Francisco, PRO-6 director, lauded various police units for their accomplishments.
