ILOILO – Police nabbed an aircon technician in a drug buy-bust operation in Lumina Subdivision, Barangay Abilay Norte, Oton town around 4:40 p.m. on Sunday, April 2.
The 38-year-old Jovan Roy “Nonoy” Jose was a resident of the above-mentioned place.
Joint operatives of the Oton police station’s Station Drug Enforcement Team led by Police Major Fernand L. Limbungan and Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) led by Police Major Harold A. Rendora seized four small and two big sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 25 grams and valued at P170,000.
“Ang nakatutok gid sa subject was ang PDEU kag based sa nabaton namon nga information mga sobra man sa isa ka semana ang surveillance bag-o gin-conduct ang operation,” Limbungan told Panay News.
The suspect was detained at the Oton police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022./PN
