ILOILO – Three wanted persons were arrested in separate operations by the Badiangan Municipal Police Station (MPS).
On June 1, 18-year-old Marlon Carnaje was arrested around 7:16 p.m. in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
Police tagged Marlon as the No. 8 most wanted person in Region 6, No. 2 in Iloilo and No. 4 in Badiangan town.
Meanwhile, Marlon’s uncle, John Kevin Carnaje, was arrested in Barangay Mainguit, Badiangan around 3:06 p.m. on June 2.
The 19-year-old construction worker was the No. 9 most wanted person in Region 6, No. 3 in Iloilo and No. 6 in Badiangan.
On the same day, Romulo P. Agjon of Barangay Sianon, Badiangan was arrested around 3:40 p.m. in the town’s Barangay Iniligan.
Agjon was Marlon’s friend and also worked as a construction worker.
He was the No. 3 most wanted person in Iloilo and No. 5 in Badiangan.
The three fugitives were served with arrest warrants issued on May 18 by Judge Redentor Eugenio Esperanza of the Regional Trial Court Branch 76 in Janiuay, Iloilo.
The charges filed on Oct. 5, 2022 stemmed from two rape incidents on June 10 and Aug. 2 last year.
All arrests were made by the Badiangan MPS, headed by Major Bonifacio Alabe, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Iloilo City Field Unit, and the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company./PN
