
MAY holds an abundance of exciting events for Filipino K-pop fans and K-drama aficionados, as a number of electrifying concerts and intimate fan meetings are scheduled to take place in the country throughout the month.
Boy band Treasure will jump-start the month of Hallyu events with the Manila leg of its Reboot tour, to be staged at the Mall of Asia Arena on May 4. It marks the 10-piece act’s return to the country since its two-day “Hello” tour concert in April 2023.
On the same day, UNIS — the K-pop girl group with two Pinoy members — will host a fan signing activity at Ayala Center Cebu, followed by a similar event at the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig the following day.
K-pop group The Boyz and fromis_9 will headline the KWAVE Music Festival, a free-admission concert at Rizal Park in Manila, on May 11. Also performing at the event are P-pop acts PLUUS, YGIG, YARA, and KAIA.
On May 12, actress Park Min-young, who won the hearts of K-drama viewers through shows such as “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” and “Marry My Husband,” will hold a fan meeting at the SM North EDSA Skydome.
Meanwhile, actor Ahn Bo-hyun of shows such as “Yumi’s Cells” and “Flex X Cop” will also host a fan meeting at the New Frontier Theater on May 25.
Boy group ENHYPEN will cap off the month, returning to the Philippines for a brand-organized fan meeting at the Mall of Asia Arena on May 28. (ABS-CBN News)
