ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) will account police personnel in the region having visible body tattoos.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Arnel Solis, spokesperson for the PRO-6, said Police Brigadier General Jack Wanky directed all personnel who have visible body tattoos to pass affidavit of undertaking describing the location and what kind of tattoos they have.
“Police personnel who have tattoos will submit their affidavit of undertaking para mabal-an kon ano ila tattoos kag diin. I think they have to erase their tattoos kung visible gid while wearing Philippine National Police (PNP) uniform,” said Solis.
Wanky also said that visible body tattoo is a long standing policy in the PNP, as well as to police applicants.
“Matagal na bawal ‘yan especially sa mga applicants. Hindi sila pwede makapasok sa police force na may tattoos,” he added./PN
