ILOILO – Passi City police confiscated suspected shabu and a firearm from a drug suspect in Barangay Cairojan, Passi City on Sunday afternoon, May 19.
Alias “Jun-Jun,” 49, and a resident of Barangay Golguta, Janiuay town, was arrested after he sold a plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer.
Police seized around six grams of suspected shabu valued at approximately P40,000 and a caliber .45 pistol with one magazine and seven pieces of live ammunition.
Passi City Police Station’s investigation revealed that the suspect was previously arrested for illegal drugs. He was released from jail through a plea bargaining agreement.
The suspect is currently detained at the Passi City Police Station and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
