BACOLOD City – Around P544,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from a 21-year-old woman in Barangay Banago here.
Alias “Inday”, classified as a high-value drug suspect, was caught around 10 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, by operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit.
A total of 10 plastics sachets of illegal drugs weighing approximately 80 grams were recovered from the suspect.
The suspect was placed under police custody. She will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Western Visayas’ top cop, Brigadier General Jack Wanky, meanwhile, called on the Bacolod cops to maintain the intensity of their campaign against illegal drugs.
He further urged the city police to continue engaging and soliciting support from the community to identify those who are still involved in the illegal drug trade./PN
