AKLAN – A 46-year-old electrician died after he was electrocuted in Barangay Poblacion, Balete town in this province on Tuesday, October 15.
The victim identified as Sol Dandoy Zonio, a former Barangay Oquendo councilor, was declared dead on arrival at the Aklan Provincial Hospital.
According to Fire Officer 3 Vincent Torre of the Balete Bureau of Fire Protection, they, along with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) personnel, assisted in retrieving the body from the roof of the home owned by Sangguniang Bayan member Rheiman Villanueva.
Police said Zonio was fixing the ceiling with his child when he accidentally came into contact with live electrical wires, leading to the electrocution./PN
