ILOILO City – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) is targeting high-value individuals operating across the province.

Colonel Bayani Razalan, IPPO director, recently instructed the police chiefs and personnel of drug enforcement units to run after high-value drug targets who are possessing large volume of illegal drugs.

“As much as possible we have to arrest those who are carrying huge volume of shabu. No letup to those who venture or operate in our area. We need to further strengthen our connection with the community to give us information about the movement of the drug peddlers,” Razalan said.

On Saturday night, October 19, alias “Laklak”, 30, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bolaqueña, Estancia, Iloilo.

The suspect who is a native of Barangay Tanza Baybay, Iloilo City was caught possessing 220 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P1,496,000.

Razalan said it took over two weeks of intensive monitoring to confirm the suspect’s involvement in illegal drug activity.

Based on intelligence report, the suspect got his drug supply from Manila and distributed it in Estancia and neighboring towns./PN
