ILOILO City – A 34-year-old suspected bodegero of illegal drugs was apprehended in a raid at a subdivision in Barangay Balabag, Pavia, Iloilo.
Armed with a search warrant, personnel of the Pavia Municipal Police Station (MPS) entered the house of the suspect identified as alias “Ma-oy” at around 5:45 a.m. yesterday, November 21.
According to Staff Sergeant Franklin Suizo, they recovered 200 grams of suspected shabu worth approximately P1.4 million in a brown pouch kept in the suspect’s room.
“Our target was under surveillance for more than a month after our informant told us that huge amount of shabu are being kept in his house, that’s why we searched his house,” Suizo said.
The police meanwhile refused to mention the name of Ma-oy’s source of illegal drugs as follow-up operation was being conducted as of this writing.
Suizo added that the suspect was a drug surrenderee in the municipality of Pototan.
