BACOLOD City – To enhance the emergency response capabilities of the local government units (LGUs), 10 municipalities and a city in Negros Occidental received brand new ambulances.
Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson on Wednesday, January 15, led the ceremonial turnover of 11 ambulance units to the following recipient LGUs: Don Salvador Benedicto, San Enrique, E.B. Magalona, La Castellana, Moises Padilla, Candoni, Valladolid, Cauayan, Isabela, Toboso, and Cadiz City.
Each recipient received one Basic Life Support (Type 1) ambulance unit, equipped with essential medical tools and manned by trained, dedicated drivers.
These efforts, spearheaded by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), aim to ensure prompt and efficient Emergency Medical Services (EMS) during emergencies, highlighting the provincial government’s commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and improving healthcare access in the province.
Also present at the ceremony held at the Provincial Capitol grounds were the respective mayors of the aforementioned LGUs./PN
