
ANTIQUE – Police apprehended Western Visayas’ No. 4 most wanted person.
Alias “Manny”, 49, was caught in Barangay Bongbongan 1, Hamtic town on Tuesday, February 4, at 5:10 p.m., by joint operatives of the Hamtic police station, Antique Police Provincial Office – Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Police Regional Office 6’s (PRO-6) Regional Intelligence Unit.
The suspect was detained at the Hamtic police station.
The court recommended a P200,000 bail bond for lascivious conduct charges and no bail bond for rape case.
PRO-6 director Brigadier General Jack Wanky lauded the officers involved in the operation, emphasizing their dedication to public safety and crime prevention.
“Your efforts exemplify our commitment to justice and the protection of our communities. Continue engaging with the public and stakeholders to strengthen our crime-fighting initiatives,” said Wanky.
Meanwhile, the PRO-6 arrested a total of 33 wanted persons in the region in a single day of operations from 6 a.m. on February 4 to 5:59 a.m. on February 5.
All suspects are currently in police custody pending turnover to courts concerned./PN
