Nearly 415K voters in Aklan for 2025 polls

KALIBO, Aklan – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has recorded 414,890 registered voters in the province of Aklan for the May 12, 2025 midterm elections.

The province also has 603 clustered precincts in 331 voting centers for the upcoming polls.

The capital town of Kalibo has the most number of clustered precincts with 66, followed by Ibajay with 53, Malay with 52, Banga with 48, and New Washington with 45.

The poll body noted 208,595 male voters in Aklan as compared to 206,295 female voters. The 60 years old group has the highest number of registered voters with 77,178.

The 1st District comprising the towns of Libacao, Madalag, Kalibo, Banga, Batan, New Washington, and Altavas has 209,532 registered voters.

Buruanga, Malay, Ibajay, Tangalan, Makato, Lezo, Malinao, Numancia, and Nabas in the 2nd District have 205,358 voters.

Kalibo has 53,191 registered voters, followed by Malay with 40,565, Ibajay with 34,003, and New Washington with 33,891.

Banga has 29,601 voters, Numancia with 26,088, Nabas with 26,066, Batan (24,516), Makato (23,128), Libacao (19,518), Altavas (17,774), Balete (17,585), Malinao (16,278), Tangalan (16,128), Madalag (13,456), and Buruanga (12,915).

The town of Lezo, meanwhile, has the lowest number of registered voters at 10,187./PN
