ILOILO – A 22-year-old student tragically died after a motorcycle crash in Barangay Pani-an, Balasan, Iloilo on Monday, March 31, just hours after celebrating his birthday.
Alias “John”, 22, a native of Carles town but temporarily staying in Estancia, fell into a gutter. His body was found at around 6 a.m.
According to Police Senior Master Sergeant Alan Elambre of the Balasan Municipal Police Station, the victim was believed to be inebriated.
The accident, he said, likely occurred when John was heading home, causing his motorcycle to fall into the gutter and possibly hitting a tree.
“He succumbed to a fatal head injury,” the police investigator added.
