ILOILO City – Suspected shabu approximately valued at P670,480 and a firearm were seized from a high-value suspect in an anti-illegal drug operation in Purok 4, Barangay Salong, Balasan, Iloilo.
Balasan police collared alias “Putot”, 46, a resident of the town, after he allegedly sold suspected shabu to a poseur buyer around 7:43 p.m. on Monday, July 14.
The law enforcers confiscated six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing alleged shabu weighing around 98.6 grams, an unknown caliber revolver, .9mm live ammunition, buy-bust money, and non-drug-related items.
The suspect was detained at the Balasan Municipal Police Station. He will be charged for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act)./PN
