Capiz’s No. 8 fugitive collared in Panitan

CAPIZ – The No. 8 most wanted person at the provincial level was arrested on Sunday morning, July 20, in Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Panitan town for multiple counts of statutory rape.

Officers of the Panitan Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by Major Amie F. Bulaquena, apprehended alias “Dodoy,” 41, a construction worker and resident of Barangay Timpas, Panitan.

The suspect is facing statutory rape charges under Criminal Case numbers C-201-25, C-202-25, C-203-25, and C-204-25, filed under Article 266-A, Paragraph 1(d) of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act 11648.

The warrant of arrest was issued by Hon. Joan Marie B. Bargas-Betita, presiding judge of Regional Trial Court – Branch 14 in Roxas City, dated May 2, 2025. No bail was recommended for the accused’s temporary freedom.

Police said the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights during the arrest. He is currently under the custody of Panitan MPS pending proper turnover and legal processing./PN
