ROXAS City – Mayor Ronnie Dadivas has issued Executive Order (EO) No. 13, Series of 2025, requiring the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to coordinate more closely with the city government in the implementation of infrastructure projects within the city.

The directive comes amid ongoing scrutiny over alleged lapses in some DPWH projects in the city. Under the EO, the DPWH must submit project plans, secure building permits and zoning clearances, and undergo inspections for all projects it carries out in Roxas City.

Dadivas emphasized that the move seeks to guarantee transparency, accountability, and alignment with the city’s development priorities and needs. He also mandated the DPWH to provide regular status or progress reports to ensure that ongoing works conform to proper standards.

Para masigurado nga ang mga ginapatuman nga proyekto sang DPWH nagaangut sa gihapon sa mga plano, prayoridad kag kinahanglanon sang syudad, may transparency kag accountability, nagpapanaug kita sang Executive Order No. 13,” Dadivas said.

The mayor stressed that the order is part of the local government’s commitment to safeguard public interest and ensure that infrastructure projects truly benefit the people of Roxas City./PN
