SUNSHINE Cruz cried foul as she, her daughters and her boyfriend Atong Ang have been the subject of several fake social media reports, which have unfortunately misled many netizens.
The actress once again spoke against false claims, this time about her being supposedly pregnant with her child with Ang. Aside from her, there were also sensationalized headlines suggesting that her daughters Angelina and Sam Cruz are expecting.
“FAKE NEWS po ang lahat ng ito guys, [for your information],” Sunshine said, showing screenshots of the false reports through her Facebook page on Wednesday, Sept. 17. (These are all fake news, guys, for your information.)
“These accounts are not legit and they make up stories for views. Every click from us ay kumikita sila kaya nagkakalat sila ng mga imbentong kwento usually dito sa FB at sa Youtube,” she added.
Sunshine reminded the public to be cautious of the content they consume on social media and appealed for help in reporting fake claims.
“Huwag po tayo basta maniwala sa mga gawa-gawang kwento,” she stated. (Please do not believe these fabricated stories.)
In a separate post, the actress pointed out how the false headlines about her vary every week.
“Few weeks ago binubugbog, nakulong o nasa hospital daw ako, ngayon buntis naman ako or ang mga anak ko. Surprisingly, marami ang naniniwala na totoo itong mga ganitong klase ng kwento,” she lamented.
Just last July, Sunshine also dismissed claims that she and the gambling tycoon had broken up. (Anne Pasajol © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
