Actress Bea Alonzo has chosen not to publicly comment on her professional split with longtime talent manager Shirley Kuan, instead highlighting her happiness as a newlywed.

Alonzo faced the public anew at a brand event on Thursday, August 27, where she took part in a question-and-answer segment about her personal life.

Asked about her marriage to businessman Vincent Co, Alonzo shared that she was the first to say “I love you” and admitted that she is the more clingy partner in their relationship.

“I’m really happy in my wife era,” Alonzo said, adding that she looks forward to going home to her husband and finds comfort in knowing that someone who loves her is waiting for her.

The actress said she is fully enjoying the current chapter of her life.

Alonzo has remained silent since Kuan confirmed her resignation as the actress’ manager on August 24.

Kuan had earlier addressed and denied speculation that she was behind the cancellation of Alonzo and Co’s planned wedding in Spain.

Alonzo and Co, whose relationship was made public in 2025, married in a civil ceremony in July.

For now, Alonzo appears focused on her marriage and personal happiness while leaving questions surrounding her professional relationship with Kuan unaddressed. (Philippine Daily Inquirer)
