ILOILO City – Operatives of the Antique Police Provincial Office arrested a farmer tagged as the No. 1 most wanted person in Calinog, Iloilo in Barangay 4, San Jose, Antique.
The 48-year-old alias “Gari”, a resident of Barangay Manaripay, Calinog, was collared on September 25 by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code, with the use of an unlicensed firearm, issued by the Regional Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region – Branch 76 in Janiuay, Iloilo, dated August 2, 2022.
The suspect was taken into custody by the San Jose Municipal Police Station for proper disposition prior to turnover to the issuing court.
No bail bond was recommended for the suspect’s temporary release.
“This arrest demonstrates our unyielding pursuit of law offenders and our determination to deliver justice for victims of heinous crimes. The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) will continue to track down wanted persons who attempt to evade the law.
