Capiz cops gear up for safe, peaceful observance of ‘Undas’ 2025

CAPIZ – As the nation prepares for the observance of Undas 2025 (All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days), the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) is implementing proactive measures to ensure a safe and orderly commemoration across the province.

Under the leadership of Police Colonel Albert D. Tapulao, the CPPO will enforce its Enhanced Managing Police Operations Plan, focusing on public safety and crime prevention during the annual influx of visitors to cemeteries and other public areas.

Police personnel will be strategically deployed in key areas — including cemeteries, transport terminals, tourist spots, and other public convergence points — to maintain peace and order and deter any potential criminal activities.

The coordinated security effort will involve close collaboration with local government units, force multipliers, and community volunteers, highlighting a united front in promoting public safety.

To further assist the public, police assistance desks will be established in both public and private cemeteries. These will serve as information and help centers for visitors and motorists, offering immediate assistance and addressing concerns throughout the observance.

Regular checkpoints and intensified law enforcement operations will also be conducted province-wide to enhance security measures and ensure compliance with local ordinances, particularly those prohibiting restricted items within cemetery premises.

Red Teams will also be deployed to assess the readiness and compliance of field personnel, ensuring operational efficiency and responsiveness throughout the duration of Undas.

Tapulao underscored the importance of public cooperation in maintaining safety and order.

“Your cooperation is essential in keeping our communities safe. The Capiz PNP will be here to assist you in any way we can,” he said.

He also reminded the public to follow cemetery regulations and refrain from bringing prohibited items.

For emergencies or police assistance, the public may contact the 911 hotline, which will remain active throughout the observance period.

“Let us observe this occasion safely and orderly,” Tapulao concluded, reaffirming the CPPO’s commitment to maintaining peace and security during this important time of remembrance.

With its comprehensive security plan, the CPPO assures Capizeños and visitors of a safe, peaceful, and meaningful observance of Undas 2025./PN
