“PILIPINAS Got Talent” season two winner Marcelito Pomoy received a standing ovation for his performance at The Trump Estate in Florida, despite the US president’s absence at the event.
Pomoy took to his Facebook page on Dec. 29, 2025 to share a glimpse of his rendition of Andrea Bocelli’s “Time to Say Goodbye” at Donald Trump’s estate at the Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
“Thank you for the standing ovation. It is always a dream for me to sing ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ by Andrea Bocelli,” he said. “Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman turned this song into an iconic finale for musical performances around the world, and I feel truly honored to perform it each and every time.”
Despite Trump’s absence due to a busy schedule, Pomoy uploaded another clip of his performance while showing his respect for his “leadership, dedication, and the ongoing effort to strengthen the nation.”
“While the President was unable to attend at the last minute due to a demanding day of international meetings, it was a privilege to be part of such a distinguished evening,” he said.
“Respect to leadership, dedication, and the ongoing effort to strengthen the nation and the world. Proud to stand for unity, excellence, and the vision of Making America Great Again,” he added.
Pomoy started his singing career as a contestant on “Pilipinas Got Talent” season two in 2011 where he was noted for his knack for singing in low and high pitches.
