Actress and producer Sylvia Sanchez shared a glimpse of an intimate family moment with photos from a recent celebration with her children and their partners posted on her social media page.
In a recent post on Instagram, she shared snaps from a cozy anniversary gathering with husband Art Atayde, joined by their children—Arjo Atayde and wife Maine Mendoza; Ria Atayde with husband Zanjoe Marudo and their son Sabino; Gela Atayde with Zaijian Jaranilla; and Xavi Atayde.
“Thank you, kiddos, for surprising us last night. Love you all! Happy anniversary again, my husband Art—pangit! Love you most!,” Sylvia wrote in the caption.
Sylvia’s post quickly gained traction online as it seemingly squashed the rumors about her eldest son, actor and politician Arjo’s current status with wife, actress and host Maine. In some of the photos, the couple were sitting near each other and laughing together with Ria, Zanjoe and Xavi.
Earlier this month, rumors circulated that Arjo and Maine were allegedly “over,” fueled by their absence from each other’s recent family events and birthdays. The allegations intensified when actor-comedian Bayani Agbayani shared a now-deleted TikTok video of the party where netizens pointed out that Maine was not in the picture. The couple was also allegedly not celebrating each other’s birthdays.
However, the issue was earlier clarified by the family’s official showbiz PR Chuck Gomez in a quick chat with ABS-CBN News last March 26.
“She (Maine) wasn’t feeling well that day,” Chuck said, referring to her absence from her in-laws’ birthday celebration.
“Basag na naman mga umaasa sa hiwalayan ni Maine at Cong Arjo… Happy Anniversary po Mr and Mrs Atayde, “ a netizen said in the comment section.
Another one expressed, “Oh sa mga naghahanap jan kay Maine ayan fresh na fresh! Di lang na post sa iba, dami na agad issue. happy anniversary po.”
Meanwhile, followers also noticed the presence of Ziajian along with Gela, reigniting rumors about the two young actors’ relationship.
