ACTRESS-CONTENT creator Katrina Halili and R&B singer Kris Lawrence have sparked reconciliation and “comeback” rumors as they spent the Holy Week with a “reset” trip to El Nido, Palawan, together with their daughter, Katie.
The former couple separated in 2014 after five years of being together.
In a video shared by Katrina on her Facebook page on April 2, she was seen enjoying the beach, running along the shore and dipping her feet in the water while smiling at the camera. In one moment, she sat on the sand and wrote “MR.B,” a name she fondly calls Kris. Near the end of the clip, the R&B singer appeared walking towards Katrina while looking at her.
“Barefoot in the sand. Ocean air. No noise, no stress, just freedom in motion.
“This is where everything resets,” Katrina wrote.
The actress also noted that the video serves as a teaser for an upcoming vlog.
The posts quickly prompted fans to speculate about a possible reconciliation and “comeback”, especially as the two have been seen together more frequently since earlier this year.
“Hindi na talaga ito co-parenting.. but what’s wrong with it they are both single, and they have Katie who will benefit the most if they will be together again. Nakakakilig kayo dalawa!” one fan wrote.
“Maybe they both heal. Then they just love Katie that’s why they chose to be together again AYIEEEEE blessings yan from the Lord. God bless,” another added.
“I really hope it’s not an April Fool’s prank,” another commented, while others joked that the video resembled a pre-nuptial shoot.
Prior to Katrina’s post, Kris also shared a photo of themselves watching the sunset together.
“Some sunsets…you don’t want to end,” he wrote.
He later posted another photo where the two can be seen staring at each other.
“Grabe…and ganda ng view🫶,” he captioned.
The two also uploaded on their respective social media accounts some moments from their island hopping and food trips, accompanied by friends during the getaway.
Earlier in February, Kris appeared on Katrina’s YouTube vlog where he took part in a “Lie Detector Test” challenge. During the vlog, he reflected on their relationship and admitted that he is not closing his doors on the possibility of rekindling their romance.
He also shared that if given the chance to go back to the past, he would still choose to be with Katrina, even knowing their relationship would end, because it led to having their daughter, Katie.
Despite the renewed buzz, neither Katrina nor Kris has confirmed any reconciliation or new relationship rumors. The two of them have also been actively co-parenting their daughter.
Apart from Katie, Kris also has a younger son named Lyric, from his former partner. (Push Team)
