CAPIZ — The Roxas City Government has strengthened its waste management efforts with the implementation of strict waste segregation at Pueblo Market, promoting discipline and environmental responsibility among vendors and customers.
As part of the initiative, the city installed multiple waste bins around the market area to guide proper disposal and segregation of garbage into recyclable, special, and food waste categories.
Mayor Ronnie Dadivas said the measure reflects the community’s commitment to cleanliness and shared responsibility in maintaining the city’s environment.
“Cleanliness and compliance with regulations such as waste segregation reflect our discipline as a community and our love for Roxas City,” Dadivas said.
He emphasized that while the policy may seem simple, it instills discipline and respect for the environment among market-goers and vendors alike.
The mayor also underscored that maintaining cleanliness is not the responsibility of a single individual but a collective duty of all.
