ANGEL Locsin again broke her self-imposed social media timeout to express support for ABS-CBN, as the media giant faces a complete shutdown proposal amid a simmering dispute among the head honchos of the Lopez family.

Locsin took to her now-private Instagram account on Saturday, April 18, to share glimpses of her past projects with ABS-CBN, including “Lobo” and “The General’s Daughter,” while showing support for the media giant despite her retirement from the industry.

Netizens also reposted screenshots of her post on social media.

“Kapamilya? Hindi man Lopez ang apelyido ko — I may be retired and no longer an employee — pero ang gusto ko, nandito pa rin. Titindig para sa ating pamilya,” she said.

Locsin said she will wholeheartedly stand for the network where she transferred to in 2007 from its then rival GMA, and stayed with for more than 20 years.

“True to your slogan: Once a Kapamilya, always a Kapamilya. Buong puso, hanggang ngayon, para sa ABS-CBN,” she said.

Locsin, who has long been inactive on the internet, would sporadically appear on social media when it comes to social issues, the recent “Pinoy Big Brother” stint of her stepson Joaquin, and calls for things that matter to her.

She was also active in standing against the media giant’s shutdown during the time of former President Duterte. (Hannah Mallorca © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
