Inah de Belen drew the ire of social media personality Rosmar Tan after the former expressed dislike to being compared to the latter, and appeared particularly disgusted with the actress’ “ew” remark.
De Belen posted on Facebook a picture of herself with boyfriend Jake Vargas following their appearance at the Flores de Mayo celebration in Barangay Maysantol, Bulacan. A netizen was quick to notice their supposed resemblance, saying they mistook de Belen for Tan, prompting the actress to react violently in the comments section.
De Belen responded by saying she was unfamiliar with Rosmar. “Guys, sino ba si Rosmar, hindi ko siya kilala,” she said. After apparently looking up the social media personality, she added, “Na-research ko na siya, plssss don’t associate me with her, ew.”
Tan, whose real name is Rosemarie Tan-Pamulaklakin, then issued a clapback on her own social media post, expressing her dismay over de Belen’s remarks.
Kung maka ‘ew’ wagas, inaano ka?” she wrote.
In a separate post, Tan doubled down on her response.
Pwe!” the vlogger concluded.
Meanwhile, several netizens came to de Belen’s defense, claiming the “ew” she used may not have meant disgust but rather stood for “either way.”
“Either way kasi ‘yon HAHAHAHA.’ Don’t associate me with her either way’ in Tagalog : ‘Huwag mo akong iugnay sa kanya sa anumang paraan.’
De Belen, daughter of seasoned actors Janice de Belen and John Estrada, has yet to address Tan’s new posts as of this writing.
