IAN VENERACION expressed his support for Bea Alonzo’s rumored marriage to business mogul Vincent Co, saying that the actress would make a “wonderful wife and mother.”
Veneracion shared in an ambush interview that he recently ran into Alonzo a “few times,” and that she seemed “very, very happy,” when asked for her comment on her rumored marriage to Co.
“We accidentally met a few times. I just hugged and congratulated her, saying I’m happy for her. She seemed very, very happy. She owes a lot of stories to me. We haven’t had the chance to sit down and properly catch up,” he said in Filipino.
Veneracion said that he’s confident that Alonzo will be a “wonderful” wife to Co and mother to their future children, adding that the Puregold president must have been a “special guy” for the actress to fall in love with him.
“He must be someone special and a really nice guy for Bea to fall in love with him. I hope to spend time talking to them in the future. She would be a wonderful wife and mother. I’m sure of it. And I’m really happy for them,” he added.
Wedding rumors with Co have hounded Alonzo since March 2026, after St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Manila posted a marriage bann listing their names.
Neither of them has confirmed or denied the rumors.
Wedding on hold?
Meanwhile, rumors were recently swirling after a blind item surfaced regarding a high-profile couple who has reportedly called off their “grand wedding” scheduled in Spain.
The core of the issue, according to a Bandera report, involves a disagreement over a prenuptial agreement. While both parties has initially reached an understanding, the groom’s camp allegedly introduced a new clause that the bride strongly opposed. Furthermore, whispers persist that the groom’s parents have been hesitant about the match since the beginning.
While no names were explicitly mentioned in the original blind item, netizens and showbiz observers have been quick to point to Alonzo and Co.
