Two motorcyclists injured in Passi City collision

ILOILO – Two motorcycle drivers sustained multiple injuries following a road accident in Barangay Aglalana, Passi City, Iloilo at around 7:38 a.m. yesterday.

Authorities identified the first driver as alias “Daniel,” 62, a resident of Barangay Magdungao, Passi City. He sustained head injury and abrasions on various parts of his body. The other driver, 21-year-old alias “John Lloyd,” a resident of Barangay Salcedo, Dumarao, Capiz, sustained minor abrasions.

Neither driver was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Passi City.

In an Aksyon Radyo Iloilo report, Fire Officer 1 Romel Cosipe said both motorcycles were traveling in the same direction from Dumarao town toward Passi City.

Upon reaching the intersection, Daniel, who was driving a Bajaj motorcycle, suddenly stopped and made a sharp turn, causing John Lloyd’s trailing Suzuki Raider motorcycle to crash into him.

The impact damaged the side mirrors and signal lights of both vehicles.

Emergency responders immediately brought he victims to the Don Valerio District Hospital for proper medical treatment./PN
