BACOLOD City – A bridge watchman was shot dead at Mandalagan Bridge.
The 45-year-old Jason Vallega Sajo was watching the bridge being repaired when he was attacked around 10:45 p.m. on Nov. 4 in Purok Ylac, Barangay 1.
There were two killers, witnesses told the police.
Sajo was living under the bridge being repaired.
An improvised 12-gauge shotgun locally known as sulpak was used on Sajo, investigators said.
Sajo died of a gunshot wound on the chest while being rushed by concerned citizens to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
The two men fled after shooting Sajo. As of this writing, they remained unidentified.
A day earlier, a house help was found dead inside her room at City Heights Subdivision, Barangay Taculing.
Sabrina Gambito was a resident of Barangay Minapasok, Calatrava, Negros Occidental. On Wednesday, she complained to her employer that she was not feeling well.
Gambito was found dead by her employer dead around 4 a.m. the next day./PN
