ILOILO City – The Social Security System (SSS) conducted a pre-retirement seminar which started in June at the SSS Iloilo Central branch conference room, Corner JM Basa, Mapa Street, Iloilo City Proper.
From the month of June to August, the SSS conducted the seminar once a month; however the demand of the retiree’s increased in the month of September to November prompting them to conduct the seminar twice a month.
Pensioners age 55 years old and above are encourage to attend the free pre-retirement seminar organized by SSS which is a great help to the them so that early on, they will be made aware and become responsible to check their documents.
The seminar further aims to give pensioners an idea on how much pension they would receive upon reaching 60 years old and the beneficiaries who are covered by the pension.
“Gina-explain namon ang mga documentation, kung ano ang mga gina-submit nga mga documents kag ginatgaan namon sila idea kung more or less pila ang mabaton nila nga pension pag abot nila sang 60,” said Emelia B. Solinap, SSS Iloilo Central branch head.
“Gina-explain namon sa ila kung ano ang role nila as pensioners,” Solinap added.
In Western Visayasn 2, SSS has 5 branches namely Kalibo branch; Roxas branch; Antique branch; two in the Iloilo branch (Molo and Central) while there are also services available at Robinsons Place Iloilo and Jaro branch, Passi City and Guimaras./PN
