ILOILO City – Policemen stopped an illegal cockfighting in Barangay Sto. Niño Norte, Arevalo district.
They also arrested five suspects on Nov. 20. They were:
* John Nolasco, 38
* Antonio Davivas, 27
* Joemarie Canton, 36
* Francis David Parcia, 35, and
* Mark Anthony Villanueva, 20.
The suspects, all residents of Barangay Sto. Niño Norte, were detained at the Arevalo police station.
The police proceeded to the barangay around 4:30 p.m. after receiving information that illegal cockfighting was being held there.
Five cocks and P410 cash were confiscated./PN
