ILOILO City – Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog revealed that the city’s Integrity Best Practices for Investment Opportunities project is one of the chosen local government units (LGUs) to present its economic potentials during the LGU Business Summit on Nov. 22 at the Marriott Hotel, Pasay City, Manila.

Mabilog emphasized the five priority areas including tourism, service, utilities, information and communication technology-business process outsourcing (BPO) and human resources. He also promoted the city’s successful undertakings on business streamlining, jobs generation, healthy lifestyle and recreation, skills training, education, good governance and anti-corruption, tax incentives, peace and order and the environment.

The summit, with the theme “Towards Integrity and Global Competitiveness” promoted integrity, global competitiveness and inclusive growth.

It was organized by the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines and connected LGUs, Civil Society Organizations (CSO) and business leaders.

Representatives from various business groups, the Integrity Circles composed of LGUs, CSOs, the church and the academe were also present in the summit./PN
