BACOLOD City – Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. of Negros Occidental is looking for Provincial Agriculturist IgmedioTabianan. He can’t find the official.

“Gin warningan ko na sya nga atindirun nya opisina nya kay ga-reflect na sa iya,” said Marañon.

According to the governor, Tabianan is difficult to find.

“This cannot go on this way,” he stressed.

Tabianan could be held administratively liable, said Marañon.

Tabianan’s office previously received two notices of disallowance from the Commission on Audit – for the P299,000 fertilizer project in 2013 and the P239,805.80 vegetable seeds program in 2014.

In the fertilizer project, state auditors noted the absence of a contract between the provincial government and the supplier, and the absence of the list of recipients acknowledging receipt of the fertilizer.

On the other hand, COA said, the vegetable seeds program did not have supporting documents and list of recipients.

On Nov. 21, Tabianan paid P299,000 on COA’s order. He was also given six months to comply with the needed requirements for the disallowed projects./PN
