ILOILO City – A man fixing a signboard in Barangay President Roxas, City Proper fell to the ground and died.
The 34-year-old man likely lost his balance when he accidentally got electrocuted, according to Bureau of Fire Protection’s Senior Fire Office 3 Fletcher Daban.
BFP sent responders to the scene yesterday.
The man died while being rushed to the West Visayas State University Medical Center.
“May portal of entry sa iya kamot kag may exit point sa iya likod. So may possibility nga nakuryente (before) siya nadagdag,” said Daban.
The man’s family asked that he be not identified, invoking their privacy. He was a resident of Jaro district.
According to Daban, the man did not have a safety harness while working.
A woman saw what happened. In a radio interview, she confirmed that the man did not have a safety harness.
