ILOILO City – Two men were separately arrested for illegal gun possession in Leganes and Santa Barbara towns, Iloilo province.
First to fall was Reynaldo Soberano of Barangay Lapayon, Leganes. On Dec. 20 around 10 p.m., policemen recovered from him an unlicensed shotgun and a knife.
Soberano was detained at the Leganes police station.
The following day, Dec. 21, policemen of Santa Barbara seized from 18-year-old Jason Dave Solas of Barangay Bita-og an unlicensed shotgun.
Around 1:45 a.m., Solas was detained at the municipal police station.
Both Soberano and Solas face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
