ILOILO City – After 28 years of hiding from the police, a man charged with multiple counts of murder was finally arrested.
The 61-year-old Rodolfo Lavilla Sr. was cornered in Barangay Simsiman, Calinog, Iloilo on Jan. 7.
The suspect, a resident of Barangay Caratagan, Calinog, was only 33 years old when charged in 1989, police said.
The warrant for his arrest was issued on March 30, 1989 yet.
No bail bond was recommended for Lavilla’s temporary liberty.
He was detained at the Calinog police station./PN
