IS IT true that a popular volleyball player known for her charm and humbleness is close to getting irked by the people who are running her career as they prevent her from playing in the semi-professional ranks?
A source told the Buzzer Beater that, if the popular volleyball player had her way, she would have long jumped to the semi-professional ranks and not dwelled with the semi-collegiate league.
“Malas lang talaga siya kasi ‘yung mga nagpapatakbo ng career niya mga opisyales nung (semi-collegiate league) kaya kung sinabihan siya na dito ka lang, wala siyang magawa kundi sumunod,” the source said.
“Sa totoo lang kating kati na rin si (popular volleyball player) na umangat eh. Actually, ilang beses na ‘yang pasikretong nakikipag meeting sa mga team sa (semi-professional ranks) pero laging nasisilo dahil sa mga taong nasa likod niya.”
“Pansinin niyo ha, hindi ba parang bumabagsak na ang laro ni (popular volleyball player)? Tignan mo kapag mga kolehiyala kalaban niya nasa 30’s ang puntusan niya pero pag mga beterano na, medyo bumababa na numero niya.”
“Kasi nga nasanay na sa walang challenge. Kaya nga sabi sabi napag iiwanan na siya eh. Buti pa si (a tall volleyball player) naglalaro sa UAAP, sa semi-pro at sa national team kaya hasang hasa na.”
“Tapos ngayon ipinadala naman siya sa ibang bansa. Bakit tingin mo ba ibababad siya dun sa laro? Eh ‘yung mga teammates niya mga Olympian paano siya sisingit sa first six?”
“Kaya nga nakapagtataka kung ano bang kasalanan ni (popular volleyball player) at sinisira ng kanyang manager ang volleyball career niya. She needs to grow kaya dapat let her go na.”
“Sa puso naman ni (popular volleyball player) gustong gusto na niyang umakyat sa semi-pro ranks at gustong gusto na rin niyang kumalas sa managers niya. Hindi siya pwedeng mag-lie sa mga ganung feelings.”

The Bacolod City U-18 softball team captured the Cebuana Lhuillier-AsaPhil Under-18 National Softball crown with a 4-0 victory over the Tanauan City recently at the Sto. Niño softball field in Marikina City.
Hurler Katie Jalandoni sustained her fine form all throughout the 10-day tournament that was participated by 19 teams to clinch the Best Pitcher and Most Valuable Player honors.
Jalandoni’s teammates Neo May Mahinay and Mary Joy Maguad, on the other hand, shared the most number of home runs award as Gladelyn Alipato took the best runs batting honors.
“Each year, we witness a great display of talents and skills throughout this tournament and I’m glad that big improvements in Philippine softball are clearly shown through this year’s matches,” said AsaPhil president Jean Henri Lhuillier.
The tournament served as part of the selection of the members of the national team set to vie in the Junior Women’s Softball World Championship on July 24-30, 2017 in Clearwater, Florida.
“I’m confident that we’ll be able to build a formidable national team from this pool of players,” added Lhuiller, who is also the president and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier. Sta. Maria, Bulacan finished with the bronze medal./PN
