BACOLOD City – A resident of Sitio Sibucao, Barangay Banago had been killed by his best friend, according to the victim’s cousin.
Eduardo Serquiller, 34, was found dead in Hacienda San Antonio 1, Barangay Dos Hermanas, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
He died of a gunshot wound on the back. A carton with the words “Pusher ako” written on it was found next to his body on Jan. 27.
But so far the Talisay City police have only the cousin’s account.
Police said the victim was with his cousin “Angie” when attacked.
Angie escaped and went back to Bacolod to tell the Serquiller’s wife Catherine that “Mico,” the victim’s best friend, shot him using a .9mm pistol, police said.
Mico has allegedly escaped, said the police.
An empty shell of a .9mm pistol, a tooter, a cell phone, and the victim’s motorcycle were found at the crime scene.
Catherine denied her husband was into illegal drugs. She said he was in Talisay to collect from Nico payment for a sticker he sold./PN
