BACOLOD City – A resident of Victorias City, Negros Occidental believed a man was extorting money from him.
Jose Batic, 46, claimed 36-year-old Ernesto Coronel, a resident of Barangay I-A, Manapla, promised him a job in a construction firm provided he pays a certain amount.
Police Station 2 operatives collared Coronel after Batic gave him P25,000 cash and had him sign an “acknowledgement receipt” during an entrapment in Barangay 7 on Friday.
Coronel was detained at the station’s custodial facility./PN
