ILOILO City – In Barangay Nalook, Kalibo, Aklan, a 24-year-old man charged with violence against women and children was arrested.
Police caught Gilbert Abuel around 10:22 a.m. on Friday on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Bienvenido Barrios of the Regional Trial Court Branch 3 (Aklan) on Feb. 3.
The court set the bail at P6,000.
Abuel was accused of violating Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act./PN
